User Comments:Name: Eugene Date: 2003-05-26 Comments: I think its cute how Da Vinc has the child pulling on the lambs ear yet his arm seems to be place so gently arounf its neck. Name: Midnight Toker Date: 2003-06-11 Comments: you have to remember back in those days that painters where ridiculed and that da vinci wanted to put his thought in painings through symbols. if he would of came right out with it and painted what he wanted he probably wouldnt of been recongnized as a great artist. Name: gappyotter Date: 2004-01-10 Comments: Is St. Anne here Anna? [the woman who sees him at the temple when he is being circumcised, says Matthews Gospel-I should know, RE GCSE is compulsory at r school...shudder...] Please respond, somebody... I need this 4 Hist... Note- There is no evidence to support the existance of Anna, so how she could be a saint I really don't know...perhaps they automaticaly cannonised everybody in the Bible in the Rennaisance. p.s-"kate", if u have the name of the site where u found the analysis, that would be great. Thanks anyone who can help Name: Colm Date: 2005-01-28 Comments: I dont know about the devil in the lambs leg or the mans face hidden in the mountains but the lamb is to symbolise the sacrificing of the old testament. Jesus was the sacrificail lamb of the new testament. St.Anne seems to be trying to protect the child, {supposedly Jesus}, from the horrible fate of crucifixion.
