User Comments:Name: Irene Imbrogno Date: 2002-05-25 Comments: In the 'Battle of the Centaurs (relief),we see a crowded scene of fighting ,male nudes.Actually there is one female, but her back is turned,so it is hard to pick her out. Many of the nudes are centaurs,half-man,and half horse. It is hard to separate them from the others, because their lower half is hidden by the crowded ,crush of bodies. MICHELANGELO'S works practically force one,to study them intently,to get the proper perspective. He uses a vast sea of people in depiction of(The Flood),and in the(Last Judgement) ,a confounding and monumental work. Perhaps it has a sexual purpose-angelo exploring the hale human body in a very masculine way Name: Steven D.
