Comments: I must admit I am rather squeamish about viewing killings,battle scenes,etc.Obviously a violent act is taking place.David is standing over Goliath with a bloody sword raised high.I am thankful that the scene is dark and murky.It is difficult to make out the body of Goliath in detail.'Again,thankfully.'
This is a very different David,than the beautiful,boy-man,shown in the statue.This David is fighting for his very life,and for his people and God.There is great strengh,bravery and horror
shown in this painting.The figure brandishing the sword,is no longer a boy,but a grown,virile man.
