Comments: This is my favorite Boticelli painting. God, that man was a genius. He takes this oft-painted martyr, strung through with arrows, and turns him into the decadent sexy force and it just screams lust and not even the slightest hint of holiness. Look at those bedroom eyes. Look at that hip. Gah.
